Frequently asked questions.
Where are you based?
We are based in Auckland, New Zealand and ship directly from here. All orders are packed and dispatched locally for fast, reliable delivery across the country.
Is this matcha suitable for lattes or cooking?
Matcha Mura is ceremonial grade, designed to be enjoyed on its own — traditionally whisked with hot water. While you can use it in lattes, smoothies, or desserts, we recommend experiencing it straight first to appreciate its natural sweetness and depth.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time. We’re focused exclusively on serving New Zealand customers with the freshest product and best possible experience.
How long does matcha stay fresh?
When stored properly, your matcha will remain vibrant and flavourful for about 6–12 months after opening. We recommend keeping it sealed, cool, and away from light or moisture.
What’s the best way to store it?
Keep it airtight and refrigerated after opening. This protects the flavour, colour, and nutrients. Each pouch is resealable and light-protective by design.
What makes Matcha Mura different?
We source ceremonial grade matcha directly from Uji, Japan — a region with over 800 years of tea-growing tradition. Our matcha is first harvest, shade-grown, and stone-milled in small batches to preserve colour, flavour, and purity. We don’t cut corners — and we don’t compromise on quality.
