Frequently asked questions.

What is matcha?

Matcha is a finely ground powder made from specially grown green tea leaves. Unlike regular tea, you're drinking the entire leaf, giving you more antioxidants, nutrients, and a natural energy boost.

What’s the difference between ceremonial and culinary matcha?

Ceremonial grade is the highest quality, with a smooth, delicate flavor — perfect for drinking straight. Culinary grade is slightly more robust and works best in lattes, smoothies, and recipes.

Where is your matcha sourced from?

Our matcha is sourced from Uji which has a 800 year history for producing premium, authentic Japanese matcha using traditional farming and stone-grinding methods.

How do I make matcha at home?

Sift 1–2 teaspoons of matcha into a bowl, add a small amount of hot water, and whisk in a zig-zag motion until frothy. For lattes, just mix with your choice of milk.

Does matcha contain caffeine?

Yes. Matcha contains about 30–70 mg of caffeine per serving — less than coffee but with a smoother, more sustained energy thanks to the amino acid L-theanine.

How should I store matcha?

Keep matcha in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place — refrigeration is ideal. Avoid light, air, and moisture to preserve its color and freshness.
